What to Expect


When visiting St. James, you can expect:

  • to be warmly greeted by our Connect Team as well as members of the congregation.
  • to be directed to our Welcome Desk where you will be given a first-time visitor gift.
  • to find guest parking in the front and in the back of the church.
  • a nursery with trained staff ready to serve you during all services and classes on Sunday morning beginning at 8:45 AM.
  • a worship service that will draw you closer to God.
  • a sermon that will lift up Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do the services last?

The 9:00a traditional service lasts about 50 minutes, while the 11:00 more contemporary service runs for 60 to 70 minutes.

Where do I park?

Visitor parking is available both at the front of the church and in the first row behind the building.

  • If you find stairs challenging, we recommend parking in the front for easier access.
  • Otherwise, feel free to use the rear entrance—just follow the signs to reach the sanctuary or nursery.

Drop-off Option

On the west-northwest side of the church, you'll find a covered porte cochere—perfect for dropping off guests with mobility concerns or during rainy weather.

What do people wear?

You will find people dressed in jeans, an occasional sport coat/suit and tie, and everything in between.

What is there for children?

A Nursery for newborns through 3 years is available for both morning worship services. Children's Church is available at the 11:00 service for Pre-K through 5th grade. Children's Church Children's Church runs concurrently with the 11:00 service and meets in Room 113 downstairs. After an opening time of singing and other activities, the Children's Church team will lead the children into adjacent classrooms for age-appropriate learning experiences.
